all that matters

Had soooo much fun during SRC :) Played against Singapore Poly, Raffles and Dunman High and eventually emerged THIRD!

Was subbed to play in the SP match! Scored a run against SP but apparently it wasn’t counted… Like I was on second and Gilda was on third and we both ran in but only hers was counted because according to the umpire, time was up when I reached home. Oh wells, at least we won that match!

As we won the SP match, our next opponent was RJ. Played right field. NEVER EVER played it IN MY LIFE. The last time I played softball competitively was like in primary school… haha and I was the catcher so playing right field was like… hard and stressful. Especially since I didn’t even play right field during trainings…so I like went in with ZERO KNOWLEDGE. I was like how stressed during the entire match :/ Though we lost quite badly in the end but we qualified for 3rd/4th, so yay!

It’s V Day! Haha it was kinda fun today :) Like the atmosphere and everything’s different and also coz it’s no longer ‘Bosom Buddies Day’ haha.  

Love my OG so much! :) Since we’re all #forevertogetheralone, we went for dessert at Ben & Jerry’s before heading to Clementi Mall for lunch… we’re weird that way :)  

Only the girls gave things though… the guys just sat and received and smiled haha. But still had fun talking to everyone and stuff coz next week onwards we would be spending more time with our classes…

We wrote ‘FLASH’ on the dedications board and took up lots of space but whatever haha at least everyone who walks past it can see it :) Then OGLs got all of us balloons and we got them rainbow cupcakes :) Speakers were set up in the canteen and they were blasting music so it was kinda fun! Then the mass dance song came up and people started dancing to it :) Ahh orientation was so fun… Right before we left, Andrea told us (over the PA system) that she loved us (and the softballers and her class) haha then we all shouted back ‘WE LOVE YOU TOO!’.

In a new school! Like after 10 years haha.

So my mum dropped me at the mrt station and sent my sister to school. First time taking mrt to school… IN MY LIFE! And in ACJC, Tuesdays start at like 8.30am so yeah the skies were bright as I went to school! I mean like I usually reach MG at like 6.50am and the skies are dark so it was kinda cool to see bright skies on the way to school!

OGLs like lined the walkway and kept shouting ‘WELCOME TO AC!!!!’ and like Hi-5ed everyone and stuff haha. Then went up to the hall for talks, talks and more talks. Then finally it was the March-Ins! Coz like the whole cohort is divided into 4 clans: Imperium, Avalon, Mythos and Cosmos so the clans like literally march in but in a MUCH COOLER fashion! I’m in Imperium and my OG’s called Flash :) Yeah and everyone was kinda awkward with each other so we hardly talked… I felt really weird during Mass Rally… It’s basically cheer session… and it just felt REALLY, REALLY weird saying ‘AC WARRIOR’ :/ I think we lost ALL the games we played… haha.

Was ALMOST late on the second day… Assembly in ACJC is really different from MG! Like it’s in the hall with seats and aircon! And the songs aren’t played from the PA system but is sang live by the choir everyday and their live announcements are much funnier than the MG ones…haha. And because the Principal and VPs sit on the stage, the people will roll out a tv so that they can watch the video announcements without turning around to look at the screen. Anyway, so like if school starts at 7.30am, the hall doors close at 7.26am and latecomers will have to stand outside till everything ends and I only stepped into the hall at 7.24am! Never been so close to late before!!

Again, people in the OG were still awkward around each other but at least we talked more so that’s kinda good! But we still lost all the games we played! Haha we’re just cool like that :)

The 3rd day was kinda fun! We talked more and played games and still lost games haha. I felt that the game system was kinda messy… like if you wanted to play a certain game, the OGL would have to go up to the station master to ‘book’ the game and when it’s close to our turn the game master will call the OGLs. It led to a lot of waiting around and it wasn’t very fair because not everyone got to play every game so yeah :/ But at least we made good use of the waiting time! We practiced the mass dance and couple dance :) Haha but even now, I can’t dance without reference :/ And somehow my partner and I kinda deproved in the dance haha. Like day 1 was learning stage and we were not too bad. Then day 2 was okay and much better than day 1. Then day 3 and 4 was just… bad haha.

Anyway yeah had lots of fun! Got more used to Mass Rally :) I must say that the rebuttals were really witty and cool! And I really, really like the school spirit! Like a million times better than MG!!!

The last day of orientation was MEGA FUN! Played random games till the actual games were ready and I think we played ‘baby I love you’ haha. It was either day 3 or 4 la but it was soo funny! So yeah then went to play the games! Flash has 3 OGLs, Jing Ying, Andrea and Andrew (alliteration! haha) :)

The first game we played was some blow the ball game and Andrea kept splashing us with her waterbomb and since we haven’t won any game since day 1, she said that we could splash her if we won. So we all wanted to win so badly! haha. It was quite hard at first and we (at least the girls) didn’t want to get wet because we didn’t really bring a change of clothes… But in the end we lost by a very fine margin :( So we had to do a forfeit and it was to roll across the stretch of soapy water. Luckily the guys went first and they kinda absorbed everything so when we rolled over, it was kinda dry and clean already! haha.

Then we went on to play the name game where we had to learn the names of the opposing team in 2 minutes then sit facing each other and the screen separating the two groups will drop and they have to call out each others’ names. So when it was my turn, a guy from the opposing team stood up and sat down and Eden happened to know him so he told me his name and when the screen dropped, it was another person! So we were like dumbfounded haha. Well the girl didn’t know my name so it was a draw. Then I told the next person the name of the guy (just in case he appears) and guess what?! When the screen dropped, it was the guy! So we ended up winning! :) but we couldn’t find Andrea so yeah.

Then we moved on to the next game where you fill the balloon up with water and tie it to your legs. Andrew thought that we were supposed to fill for the opposing team so he made his REALLY HUGE and then he realized that he was the one that’s supposed to wear it haha. Then Andrea went to the opposing team because we had more people. To cut the long story short, our one and only target was Andrea and Andrew was the first one to be killed off haha and we didn’t manage to kill off Andrea because she killed herself off hahax2 and in the end, WE WON yay! Then we went to splash Andrea.

We played many other games and won some but lost some. Then we realized that whenever Andrea was with us, we would lose the game haha.

Then we had Mass Rally and after that some people had to go for talks while the rest can bond. Guess what we bonded over… SCRABBLE. Other groups were like playing frisbee and captains ball and dancing… we played scrabble. Haha super cool la! Oh and Andrew gave us stickers for out phones and now my phone has like 10 stickers…haha

So, we went to Seoul Garden for OG outing! Had quite a fun time there…it was my first time! Apparently every year people go to Seoul Garden for OG outing and then from then onwards every outing’s at Seould Garden haha. There was an OG from every clan there! So yeah haha the clans of ACJ having lunch together ;) Had a great time of fellowship! Like just talking about random stuff like how to cook the food and school and mutual friends. Then Andrea wanted to make porridge so she poured rice and other ingredients into the pot to cook. We just kept talking and talking and talking and completely forgot about the porridge! Haha only remembered when there was this burnt smell wafting in the air. To finish off the burnt porridge, we played ‘I have never’ haha some were kinda ‘infomative’ while the rest were just weak haha. I lost a round… it tasted weird but somewhat edible haha.

After that, we all rushed to change out of our Imperium shirts to our Orientation ‘12 shirts coz it was 5+++pm already and we were supposed to be back in school by 6pm. The fact that the other OGs from the other clans were also vying for the limited toilet cubicles didn’t help haha. But yeah, changed then chionged to school via public transport. While we were on the way back, Andrea and Jing Ying kept telling us to put our bags at the side of the hall right after we got in to the hall because things will be ‘chaotic’ later and all of us were like ‘yeah okay…’ but totally didn’t haha and kinda regretted afterwards.

The start of ‘campfire’! No fire at all haha it’s supposed to be called ‘Orientation Night’ but whatever campfire sounds cooler. There were some performances then we played Scavenger Hunt in clans! The MCs wanted lots of random stuff like IJ pinafores, ACS BR tanks, Cat High shorts, SJI badges and 1 MG girl. Everything was so chaotic coz our clan heads were like tryna collect stuff and sweaty clothes were being thrown all over the place… but it was kinda amusing haha. Then somehow I became the MGS girl… so yeah, was awkwardly standing in the middle of the hall with Christina Seow and 2 other people whom I can’t rmb. It’s quite funny when the clan heads realize that they are missing sth and try super hard to call for it ‘inconspicuously’. But in the end Cosmos won :( So I thought that was the chaotic part that Andrea and Jing Ying were referring to earlier on but NOOOO… I think we all got up to do mass dance + couple dance or sth that’s why we moved our bags to the side of the hall then after that, OGLs started wearing lightsticks and asked us to recognize them by the lightsticks and we were like ‘huh?’ and that was when MCs shouted ‘KILL THE LIGHTS!’ and the whole hall went dark and party music started playing. Then everyone started jumping up and down and formed human caterpillars and had dance battles and stuff… it was super fun! Haha we literally clubbed and partied in the school hall! Everyone somehow squeezed to the front of the hall so the back was super empty while the front was packed and suffocating. Not kidding. But still super fun! No wonder there’s the ‘OH ACJ’ song ;)

I really had SUCH A GOOD HOLIDAY! So thankful for a holiday like that :)

It’s like MEGA rare to have a holiday and not get holiday homework haha so rested well and tomorrow’s the first day of school.

Starting all over. The last time I did that was a decade ago… so I’m not sure if I can adapt and stuff but I’m kinda looking forward to the start of a new phase of my life :)

Today was fun too! Watched The Descendants with Ms Ho, Nell, Nine, Chantal and Christelle then met Ms Lau, Sam and Ting for dinner. Had a great time talking and stuff and when we dispersed we said ‘see some of you tomorrow’ since we won’t see each other that often anymore :/

I’m quite pissed with myself now because I can’t find my EAGLES cheque and the file containing ALL my certs. ARGH!

Stayed over at MBS last night after ice cream with the wonglies, nine and vann.

It was kinda cool I guess? Haha the last time I stayed at MBS was during MAMA and the lobby was kinda crowded. But still had lots of fun with the wonglies and 3Bs in our room and at the pool!

This time, the room faced the Merlion and Esplanade so it’s a totally different view and it looked really nice (can’t really remember how the view was the other time :/ haha) :)

Went to have dinner then went to 313 to buy stuff. We ACTUALLY BOUGHT STUFF haha because my sister and I are completely uninterested in shopping and most of the time we get ‘forced’ to go out but end up not buying anything…so this is actually an accomplishment haha.

Then my mum packed the rest of our stuff and went home to play mahjong haha so my sister and I got to sleep on our own queen sized beds :) I guess we’re quite technologically dependent haha. She was on the laptop (AS USUAL) and I was on my phone/watching tv. I really wanted to use the laptop because mobile sites kinda annoy me and the laptop’s always faster so I got to use it and my sister fell asleep. Surfed the net for a bit before reutrning to the telly and eventually falling asleep at about 1am, which is quite early!

Woke up, ordered room service for breakfast and ate like pigs. Haha like we both had a main course and a ‘dessert’ for breakfast. Though it was nice, I thought that the prices were a little high… But everything’s paid by sand dollars anyway so whatever haha.

Lazed around for awhile more before going down to watch Wicked! It was quite nice and I liked it :) During the intermission, Tiff called me and asked me whether I was there too and aapparently Michelle Lee was also there! So it was cool though we didn’t see each other…

Was quite disappointed with my class today… Like really. The attendance given was 16 and none turned up. Then never mind, but somehow the low attendance became my fault? Seriously?

Anyway, still had fun at YC! Haha since no one came, I had to go round to collect all the 4D clues all by myself :( Then I asked Mrs Lau if she wanted to go with me and she agreed and Ms Ng came along too, so we’re the new 4D haha. We went round school to find the clues and they kept requesting to use the ‘call a friend’ helpline! HAHA so I had to keep calling the rest to ask where they hid the clues. JJ and J9 hid them really well! Haha I just put all the clues together at some really obvious place but they put different classes at different areas and it was really hard! But I guess it’s good because it kinda balances out.

After that, went back to the hall and the 3 of us got to use ALL THE CHARMS! YAY! haha. I was telling them how my classmates grew overnight and they said that my classmates just became more fun overnight haha.

Then ate and everyone just occupied the 4D table. Planned Monday and just talked. Then went down to release balloons then went to IC with Wonglies, Vann Chan and Nine! :)
